How does website analysis improve translations?
4 dk okumaOrta Düzey
Website analysis crawls your website to automatically extract brand terms, product names, and terminology. This context helps the AI produce more accurate, consistent translations.
How it works
- Go to your project → AI Context tab → Website Analysis
- Enter your website URL (e.g.,
https://acme.com) - Click Start Analysis
Better i18n will:
- Crawl your website pages using Firecrawl
- Extract text content and structure
- Use AI to identify brand terms, product names, and key terminology
- Generate suggested glossary entries
- Create a project context description
What gets extracted
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Brand terms | Product names, company name, taglines |
| Feature names | "Workspace", "Dashboard", "Pipeline" |
| Technical terms | Domain-specific vocabulary |
| Tone indicators | Formal/informal, technical/casual |
Using analysis results
After analysis completes, the extracted context is used in two ways:
Automatic context
The AI system prompt automatically includes your project description and key terms when translating. You don't need to configure anything — it just works.
Glossary suggestions
Extracted terms can be added to your glossary. Go to AI Context → Glossary to review and add suggested terms with their translations.
Analysis history
The Website Analysis page shows all previous analyses with:
- Status — Running, Completed, Failed
- Website — the URL that was crawled
- Results — number of terms extracted
- Date — when the analysis ran
You can re-run the analysis anytime to capture updates to your website.
Tips
- Run analysis after major product updates — new features mean new terms
- Review extracted terms — the AI is good but not perfect, verify before adding to glossary
- Combine with translation guidelines for best results
